Dnestrovsc town and Cuciurgan Lake
Town Dnestrovsc and Swimming in the Cuciurgan Lake
Dear guests, during the tour “Dnestrovsc und Cuciurgan Lake“ we suggest to visit the youngest and the most southern town of PMR (Transdniestria)-Dnestrovsc. It is situated at the border to Ukraine, 40 km away from capital of Pridnestrovie/Transdniestria Tiraspol. Soviet authorities started constructing the town of Dnestrovsc in 1961, when the new power station of Soviet Moldavia “Moldavskaya GRES“ was launched. Since 2005 the power station belongs to Russian energy holding „Inter RAO UES“. During the tour we also visit the Cuciurgan Lake (17 km long, 3 km wide), where you can swim at respective air and water temperature. The PMR-TOUR is one of the fewest tourism projects that organizes tours to this unique place of PMR (Pridnestrovie/Transdniestria). We can divide the tour in 2 parts: town and lake. Within the frame of the first part we make city tour in Dnestrovsc, where we get familiar with the places of cultural heritage . Within the frame of the second part we go to the Cuciurgan Lake, where we can swim at respective temperature.
